Evangelism simply means “spreading the evangel “- the good news of the gospel of salvation. An evangelist is someone who has a burning desire to see souls won into the kingdom of God. For the true office of the evangelist, one thing is the focus: taking the good news of salvation to a lost and dying world. More than ever, in this day and age, the Church needs the Evangelist.
- Every believer has been given the assignment to evangelize: “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry”. 2 Tim 4:5
- Every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation: “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,” 2 Corinthians 5:18
Acts 4:13
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
