You Have a Spirit of Power
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)
The word power here means miracle working power, operating in, and energizing the believer to give them a hope for the future. He left a deposit for us in the person of the Holy Spirit, separated and set us apart, distinguished and marked us as belonging to Him for His glory.
God has entrusted His divine power to and through us by His Holy Spirit. Now as believers in Christ, we ought to go out into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and the lame and the blind. We all have to go out and make a difference in someone’s life.
We need to go out, as Jesus said, into the highways and hedges, and compel people, constrain them, persuade and urge them to yield and come in, that His house may be filled. Luke 13:23
