Salvation by Grace

Jesus_handsBelow are several scriptures from the Bible that explain the basis of why Christians believe that mankind needs salvation. You’ve probably heard the term “Born Again” and might even associate it to some radical, mysterious wing of the Christian church. Well, all it really describes is the belief that in the Garden of Eden, Adam walked without sickness, sin or disease but disobeyed God because of his flesh nature’s desires – thus hurtling this planet into chaos (Adam was entrusted with the entire planet and all life on it). In this belief Jesus Christ had to pay a legal price for all people to live and walk with God again. We had to be spiritually re-born into God’s holiness.

Jesus Christ came to earth and sacrificed Himself so that our spirits (our real person) could be “regenerated” by Christ’s spiritual payment. Simply put, Heaven can not accept any citizens that are not renewed by God’s Spirit. Not only could Heaven not accept any being whose ongoing actions are contrary to God’s righteousness but if your spirit is not renewed by God’s power, you would literally “freak out” and not be able to dwell in Heaven’s glory, love and righteousness. Even if you are a good person by the world’s standards – if you have not accepted Christ as your savior, He has not been able to “revive” your spirit, in effect empowering you to enter Heaven.

To accept this adoption back into God’s Kingdom takes an honest act of the heart, which only God can measure. This spiritual milestone can literally be felt when the honest decision to repent (turn away from) of past sins (the way of disobedience and carnal pursuits) and to humble yourself to Christ and commit to knowing who He is and discovering His love, peace, joy and righteousness through a relationship with Him.

Life becomes infinitely more hopeful, light-hearted and confident when the Spirit of God renews your spirit and soul. Think about it – the Creator of the universe now has your back – and front – and entire being! He goes before you, is your legal advocate, your healer, your father, friend and provider. Does this sound far fetched? Let me ask if you’ve ever stopped doing something you knew would be wrong? I would guess you definitely have. In every man and woman a “conscience” exists. This conscience is the voice of your spirit that will live eternally. Your spirit is aware of the spiritual realm which exists eternally.

Although peoples’ minds are “darkened” because we are born into spiritual death as a result of what Adam did, our spirits and souls are still aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit on this earth. That is why there is a tugging, a constant pull to seek truth that goes on inside of you. That conscience is the response to the voice of the Holy Spirit, calling you back to Him. Whatever stereotype you may have of Christianity or you may have even had some negative experiences with Christians, only Jesus Christ is perfect and He’s the only example we should ultimately look to. The truth is you were created as a friend for God. That is why your spirit and soul consistently search and yearn for that relationship to be revived. The deception by mankind’s enemy, Satan is what has blinded us for so long. But today, you found this website and these words are probably making some sense to you. Listen to your heart and be totally honest with yourself. Perhaps it’s time to honestly give Jesus Christ a chance. What do you have to lose?

Below are some scriptures from the Bible that explain these principles. Of course there is a lifetime more of biblical knowledge to be found but if you’re ready to make the commitment to Christ click HERE and pray this prayer. If you pray to Jesus Christ from your heart He WILL change your life, and give you eternal life with Him in Heaven. This experience can be testified to by millions of believers, past and present. It’s as real as it gets and you can’t imagine how much better life will become. We urge you to reach out to God an inch and He’ll reach a mile. It’s for this purpose you were born.
