• Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart
Comments Off on Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;  6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

handsI know this passage of scripture will bless you so I have broken it down to give you a better understanding of how you can apply it to your life and trust the Lord in your daily walk with Him.

    Trust In The Lord
We can trust the Lord with all of our heart because He is the Lord who will never change. (Malachi 3:6)

    • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
    • But You are the same, And Your years will have no end. (Psalms 102:27)
    • I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6

Trust means to be bold, to have confidence, to be secure, to hope, or be sure. (Strong’s Concordance

Another way of saying that is:

    • Be bold in the Lord with all of your heart and do not rely on your own wisdom or discernment.
    • Be confident in the Lord.
    • Be secure in the Lord.
    • Be hopeful in the Lord.
    • Be sure in the Lord.

Hebrews 4:16 says – “… come boldly to the throne of grace…”
Therefore we are bold to proclaim, “We will trust in the Lord with all of our heart.”

We never know what danger lies ahead, so would it not be wise to put your trust and your security in Him who knows and has your future in the palm of His mighty hand? Hallelujah!

    With All of Your Heart
This is the most significant principle.

gaelle-marcel-189753It is a commandment to “…love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.Deuteronomy 6:5

Our heart is the center of all we do, it’s the conscience, the moral character, it’s the seat of all our emotions, our appetites and passions, and also our courage. The carnal mind on the other hand, because of its nature, is an enemy of God. Because of corruption it has been brought into an inferior condition, it can only think of things contrary to the heart of God and therefore can never please God. BUT since we are now born-again of the incorruptible seed through the word of God that lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23) we can now come boldly to the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

So now we can come to God in boldness, in trust, and be confident in Him with in the totality of what we do and say and by doing this we are pleasing to our God.

Do not lean on your own understanding
Do not rely upon what you have been through or the present position you’re in.

Do not support yourself with your wisdom or your understanding or depend on your knowledge and faculties or even your discernment of what you see or hear and have relied upon.

We needed the Lord when we were first saved and we still need Him to direct our path today.

“Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.”  Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASU)

But in all of your ways
The word way here is similar to the word we find in John 14:6 when Jesus said “I am the way” – it’s a course of life and moral character. You and I never know what evil awaits us, or the danger we are about to face. So in all of your ways, on your entire journey, acknowledge Him.

    Acknowledge Him
The word acknowledge here is similar to the word the apostle Paul uses in Philippians 3:10: that I may know Him. It is God’s heartbeat for mankind to know Him intimately. This means in an experiential way, also in a practical and realistic way.

This word means knowledge by experience. Let’s read Wuest’s translation of Philippians 3:10 and the word know: “That I might come to know Him in an experiential way, and to come to know experientially the power of His resurrection.”

pathIn my travels throughout the years I have experienced many dangers out of which only the Lord could have delivered me. Through these trials, tests and pressures of life we learn how to grow in experiential knowledge of Him, in wisdom and understanding, and so I have learned to acknowledge Him in all of my ways.

    He shall direct your path
He will make your path straight or level or even smooth and cause you to be prosperous on your way. God takes pleasure in us when we take the straight and narrow path that leads to life, and trust Him, not only when things are going smoothly but trust, rely and depend on Him from day to day and from moment to moment.

Proverbs 3:6: “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” (TLB)

The key to this devotional is acknowledging Him, which is to KNOW Him in an experiential way. Knowledge is the greatest teacher, therefore learn daily to know the Lord, learn about His loving character and His grace which will carry us through all of life’s tests and trials.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  • Getting Our Priorities in Order
Comments Off on Getting Our Priorities in Order

Peter Rahme Ministries PrioritiesToday I want to encourage you to pause and take stock of your life, particularly your spiritual life. Ask yourself a few basic questions such as:

    • “Is my relationship with the Lord healthy, strong and intimate?”
    • Am I an effective witness for the Lord?
    • “Am I growing spiritually?”
    • “Am I fulfilling God’s call on my life?”

Whatever the answer, we should all be striving daily to have a closer walk with Jesus and be more like Him. We should be continually learning to know Him in an experiential way.

I want to encourage and exhort you by sharing some principles that have kept me strengthened in the Lord for over 37 years. If you do a little every day to improve your character, before long you will shine like a polished diamond.

    1. Purpose in your heart to apply each and every scripture that the Lord quickens to you. Don’t just try it for a day or two – do everything in your power to keep up what you have started.

    1. Purpose in your heart to pray, no matter how difficult it may be, even if you start with 5 to 15 minutes a day in prayer. Communicate with your heavenly Father in Jesus’ name. Give Him time to talk to you as you sit still and listen and watch Him transform your life for His glory.
      1. “Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up.)” Luke 18:1 (Amp Bible)
      2. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

    1. Purpose in your heart to sow kind words to others. Wherever you go, people’s stress levels are reaching boiling point. Try giving them a genuine smile and/or a kind word and watch the reaction. You can change the atmosphere by choosing to act according to the Word of God.
      1. “A man has joy in making an apt answer, and a word spoken at the right moment — how good it is!” Proverbs 15:23

    1. Purpose in your heart to allow the Lord to minister through you as you go about your daily life.
      1. I have made it a lifestyle to be an effective witness for my Lord and Savior. The Apostle Paul says in: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

crossesI can honestly say before the Lord, His angels and the Body of Christ that I have never ever been ashamed to share Christ wherever I go, be it a restaurant, a plane, a school, a prison, because my God is not ashamed to be called my God, and Jesus is not ashamed to be called my brother.

But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.Hebrews 11:16

“For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,” Hebrews 2:11

    1. Purpose in your heart to build yourself up This will keep you motivated and alert all day long.
      1. Meditate in the word of God every opportunity you have – it will make you prosperous and successful. Hallelujah!
      2. Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
      3. Build yourself up by praying in the Holy Spirit every opportunity you get.
        1. Jude 20 – But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.” (TLB)

    1. Purpose in your heart to be a witness.

Many people ask what Jesus would be saying if He was walking the earth in the flesh today? The answer is very simple, what did He say when He left the earth over 2000 years ago? What He said then He is still saying today – He never changes his mind:

    1. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every person
    2. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations
    3. You shall be my witnesses to the uttermost part of the earth
    4. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations.

daisyAs for you, be calm and cool and steady, accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fully perform all the duties of your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:5 (AMP)

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

    Hi Precious Friend,

You may not be aware but South Africa is in a spiritually desperate state right now. Corruption has seized our government and rampant, violent crime continues to plague our citizens.

South Africa needs nothing short of a miracle and Evangelist Peter feels led of the Lord to be part of the spiritual solution.

    Peter Rahme

Renowned farmer evangelist Angus Buchan recently announced an urgent, national day of prayer for South Africa, to be held on April 22nd on a farm in Bloemfontein.

Reverend Peter has committed to fly to South Africa attend this day of prayer, to seek God for the rescue of our beloved country.

    ***

We need your prayers & financial support for the trip

Reverend Peter began his ministry fighting for change during South Africa’s wicked apartheid era, and the country is in equally desperate need again.

Please pray and support us as Reverend Peter seeks God once again, during this time of great urgency in South Africa!

Please pray too, that the national prayer day is followed by witnessing and evangelism.

Prayer is like cocking the hammer of a firearm, but evangelism is the gunpowder that fires the bullet.
